Quite a lot of our clients build on their existing site, either to then move into the new house and sell on the old one or to allow children to build close by. Some have an even larger plot of land available and would like to do a 'mini-development' and pick one of the houses to live in themselves.

Others go on the quest for their ideal plot a little further from home and it always pays to be prepared and also perhaps take advantage of the new Right to Build scheme which releases land plots to self build and custom builders.
